Born on February 28, 1984 in Decin, Czechoslovakia, Karol na Isela Kurkov began her modelling career at age fifteen with runway, commercial and ad campaigns. Shortly afterward Kurkova was signed for work with Prada and American Vogue. Following this Kurkova became one of Victoria s Secrets Angels . Kurkova has also modelled for designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Tommy, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Balenciaga and been on the cover of over 60 magazines. In 2002 Kurkova was awarded the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards Model of the Year title.
